Hunger Free Colorado
introduced the photo voice project, Hunger Through My Lens, in 2013 to provide real-life experts a platform to share their stories about the realities of hunger throughout Colorado.
We had the honor to talk to a few of the participants of Hunger Through My Lens about their experience of using a camera to document the impact of hunger in their own lives and in their communities.
The project lead at Hunger Free Colorado said, “It was an absolute pleasure working with Erin Preston and her team on a video we needed to visually explain our Hunger Through My Lens photovoice project. Her creativity shined through and delivered an impactful piece that surpassed what we could have imagined. This piece is now the standard video shown when first introducing the project to partners, through our website, and as a tool of training internally. We had a limited – and strict – budget to work within and she was open to working within this to ensure the project was delivered on-time and below what we had to spend. We look forward to working with Erin Preston Productions on our next project and have recommended her to other organizations looking to video as an option of enhanced storytelling around their work.”
